And another possible Swallow site, Dave: c 20 birds around the barn near Cherry Hall Farm above Bailiffe Bridge at SE 157252
Also nearby over 100 Swallows and H Martins near Woolrow Farm; 3 Tree Sparrows still there, with 3 Willow Warblers, and over 40 House Sparrows at the top of Birkby Lane near Bailiffe Bridge.

Looks like your garden is under a flight path there Dave, do you get Pinkies over spring and autumn?

Thanks for the info Mike, much appreciated.

Pinkies do move over Bri, usually east to west but only occasionally the other way. Swifts tend to follow the eastern ridge down Wheatley Valley and think thats where we pick them up as they drift off feeding over the park trees as they head SW.

Yet another probable site, Dave: up to 20 Swallows around Firth House Farm, Woodhouse this a.m.(lots of old barns & outbuildings) at SE 153213. Little else in the Bradley Wood area apart from lots of flocks of Goldfinches.
