Local lad done good!

Congratulations to Sean Gray who has just been announced as a runner up in this years Birdguides Photo Of The Year competition. We are very fortunate to have some excellent photographers locally and its brilliant to see Sean's work being recognised nationally and indeed internationally. Next time you admire a cracking shot in a birding magazine check the photographer, quite often you'll find its Sean. For anyone who isn't aware his work can be viewed at http://www.grayimages.co.uk/

Totally agree Nick, in fact you beat me to the posting. Sean's Golden Plover fledgling is a fantastic shot which rightly deserves the recognition, he also won several photo of the week awards during the year through birdguides. Won't be long before he has a stand at the Birdfair.

Congratulations Sean. I regularly check your website and the excellent images inspire me to try and improve my amateurish efforts.

Hope the result in the competition generates some business for you.

thankyou for all your comments its good to see caderdale getting some
recognition, yes the shot was taken in calderdale in the drainage ditch on the track to whiteholme. People say we do not get much in the bird department but just look around you and enjoy what we do get, Golden Plover Fantastic, as i once read on this blog this is our bread and butter
