Yellowhammers

Woods at the back of Elland crematorium produced 2 Yellowhammers and a Nuthatch yesterday (Sat. 4 Mar). Nick C, Andy H and myself were in search of LSW, not a whiff of this species. Several GSW knocking. Lots of tits in pairs and several Goldcrests.

Most "older" local birders will know this site as Plains Lane, an area where Peter Martin used to feed Tree Sparrows and Yellowhammers amongst other species, sadly none of the former there yesterday!
