Soil Hill etc

Spent a couple of hours up there yesterday. Quite mild(ish) ! At times the 3 peaks were visible, always an encouraging sight.
9 Red-legged Partridge
2 Snipe
10+ Meadow Pipits
1 Blackbird by the mast.

Lots of Common and B H Gulls and a few Herring Gulls moving to roost and down the north slope fields 54 Canada Geese, 1 Moorhen, 12+ Mallard and a single Lapwing.

Earlier in the day a good move of Pink- footed Geese reported both ways across the Pennines thanks to an early warning from Littleborough (AH) for those going eastbound.

9 Red Legged Partridge - nice Dave.
Always good to get Snipe.
Pretty water logged everywhere now, so Jack Snipe might just pop up!
John.
