Pepper Hill

Along Hag Lane at the back of Ploughcroft ski-slope for an hour or so this afternoon.
1 Green Woodpecker
1 Great Black-backed Gull >W
41 Herring Gulls >W
1 Buzzard
2 Kestrels
2 Mistle Thrush
c40 Magpies going to roost

From a distance I could just about pick out 2 Mute Swans on Shibden Park lake.

Good count of Herrings Dave, none over Fly Flatts this afternoon, maybe too windy up there.
Best winter for some time for Herrings and GBBs

I love to see them coming through especially the 'geebs' They don't even blink whatever conditions throw at them ! Today's seemed to be coming over Shelf Moor and heading for the gap by the ski-slope though some also went through the gap at the Ambler Thorn end of Swalesmoor Road. Mostly B H Gulls and Common Gulls went through the gap at Godley Cutting/Beacon Hill.
