Cold Edge

A struggle today in the gusting westerly wind though the sunshine was warm and pleasant. Nearly got blown away at The Withens. !
Several Lapwings with well grown chicks
4 Curlew
1 Snipe
6 Reed Buntings, a few Meadow Pipits, 3 Skylark and a few Linnets
9 Golden Plover still in fields near Nolstar

Followed a Cuckoo along Ludd Dean on Fri. Not singing, thought it was a Kes then Sphwk before I got a good look. Reed Bunts back regular to garden. Buzzard over garden too.

Wild up there Dave, I moved on to Fly Flatts when they started arriving with ski boats.

We will get blown away together one day up there but it will be worth it !
