Swales Moor

I was really fortunate to find this single Twite in the Linnet flock late morning and even more lucky to get a digi-scop shot of it feeding with Linnet's on a weedy banking. It was unringed and looked like a female with only a plain brown rump.

I started with some vis mig as there was still a lttle movement when I arrived up there at 10.15 till 11.50.
Wind SW F2  7c and 4/8 cloud cover, mild and dry

1 squadron of 20 Starlings >NW
5 Chaffinch >W

1 female Twite in with 25 Linnets

Well spotted Dave, we always seem to end up with a single Twite up there, you did well to pick that out.

Nice one Dave, it seems to odd one joins the wintering Linnet flocks from time to time.
