Mankinholes and Lumbutts

16 Mistle Thrushes in the fields behind our house this morning along with over 100 Starlings chattering away on the electricity wires.

By Mankinholes Methodist Chapel there were three separate flocks of Goldfinch, each of around 30 birds, so it seems to have been another good year for them, and the Little Owl was in the ruined building at Cross Lane.

At Lee Dam a single juvenile Little Grebe was still hanging around but there was no sign of the other 3 or of the adults. A juvenile and an adult Moorhen were also at Lee Dam.
