Gadwall at EGP

Male present on lagoon 1 until 08:30 when it flew west. 2 Reed Warbler, 3 Common Whitethroat and 2 Garden Warbler also recorded.

Most impressive site however this morning was c150 Common Swift and large numbers of hirundines over the ski lake in the cool blustery conditions.

Hi David
Les Midgley and I missed the Swifts and Gadwall by minutes ! We walked up the path of desolation round the Lagoon at around 8.45am. We spotted large numbers of Swallows and Martins but missed the Swifts. Just too late for the Gadwall as well :-((
