Walshaw Dean is above Hardcastle Crags (near Hebden Bridge). Take the Heptonstall road from Hebden and continue on to Slack, turn right at Slack Top and head for Blake Dean. Continue on this road through Blake Dean and up the steep hill, Packhorse Pub (aka "The Ridge") will be on your left, continue past this for about a quarter mile (?) until you see a parking area on your right. Park here and walk up the reservoir road on the right, this will lead into Walshaw Dean.
