Roils Head today

Nick D is having problems posting again so has asked me to post his sightings from Roils Head today. Red letter day with his first Lesser Whitethroat for the site, found at 1545 and relocated about an hour later by Gordon also present were a Wheatear and a dozen Willow Warblers.

I had a brief visit to Ringstone tonight where there were a couple of Wheatears and two Great crested Grebes along with a Curlew but little else. Sean Gray has been ringing Twite at Deer Hill reservoir (Huddersfield) and had an excellent day catching 83 birds none of which had been ringed before, thank God somewhere has got some twite!
