Crimsworth Dean

Grain-water Bridge area and Lumb Falls.

Very windy on the tops first thing so the valley in the upper dean seemed a good idea ! Still a little blustery down there but it was very mild and well 100+ House Martins and a lesser number of Swallows were benefiting from the masses of insects down there.
Not a lot else other than a few Wheatears, and Meadow Pipits were heading over high >SW.

Heavy rain and some hail curtailed the action ending up with paths running water and with a good soaking I headed home. (via Withens Head !)

Also a late-ish Swift today for Mick H over Norton Tower.
Reports today of Pink-footed Geese already on the move into the UK.
