Hag Lane and Shibden Velley

Along the track to rear of the ski slope this afternoon.
2+ Buzzards
Several Kestrels along the horizon as well as at least one Sparrowhawk
1 Common Whitethroat feasting in a bramble patch.
Lots of Swallows and House Martins feeding in the sheltered part of Shibden Valley
1 Wheatear in a field near Claremount

Park somewhere by the ski-slope Dave. Hag Lane is immediately behind it. A rough track, bridleway, lovely walk that overlooks the valley and brings you back to Claremount and all on the level without steep ups and downs. Once you go on Hag Lane there are a couple of alternative tracks but all lead back to Claremount or back to the ski-slope. You can't get lost !!!!

Try the above site on Y L Gull Larus michahellis - even more confusing !! but take a look at 3rd CY birds - there are some very similar to the one at Ringstone but mostly show the red orbital eye ring and clear yellow legs as well as, in some cases similar flecking on the head.
