Luddenden Dean Cuckoo

Finally got a record shot of one of the Cuckoos in the Dean.  Plenty of Willow Warblers.  Box number 6 has fallen to the ground and found a Squirrel trying to break into a box where Great Tits were nesting.  It managed to scare it off but for how long who knows?

Thanks John. They are easy to hear but I find them hard to photograph!

How many are there usually, just a couple? I hear them most years

At least 2 males. It could be more. They've been singing a few weeks now and I'm not sure once they've bred how quickly they move on.
