Fly Flatts

Red Kite over the wind farm at 11.40. Our attention was drawn to it by 2 Curlews alarming and flying up towards it. It was quite high and drifted off north over Nab Hill and lost in the distance still going away from us. No sign of any wing tags on this bird but a couple of inner pramaries missing on the left wing.
Usual waders present including just 2 Dunlin but no sign of Ringed Plovers now.
4 Twite at the feeding station and 2 male Wheatears chasing each other down the track towards Dean Head.

Good do on another Red Kite up there Dave. Its a few years now since my last up there but most raptors are late morning onwards birds by which time Ive been and gone.
Was this bird down to the sharp eyed Jen ?
