over 150 Fieldfare in fields by Pennine Way towards Lower Rough Head, mixed in with about 100 Starling

Little Owl on wall about 1/2 mile further towards Hebden Bridge

Not much else of note apart from bumping into Mr and Mrs Sutcliffe, Mr Dawtrey and Mr Walker later on. I recovered OK from the bump.

Glad you recovered from us Jeff - good to see you. Bet you were ready for tea and feet up when you got home!

My much better half made me a nice cuppa when I got in at about 16:30 then had a nice warm shower and put my feet up - so yes, absolutely right Dave. A nice surprise to see you too.

Jeff - those fields and the tree bordering them below Lower Rough Head are good for fieldfare and redwing every winter.

The wall and fence just behind where I was standing when I took the photo is where there were 18 Wheatear and 2 Reed Bunting last year - so you're absolutely right Andy!
