Swales Moor

Ringby Lane - bottle ice this morning but I made it up - and down ! 

Best was 14 Lapwings heading high >SE leaving 3 still on the north field
15 Woodpigeons followed the Lapwings >SE
1 Grey Heron heading towards Oats Royd
1 Meadow Pipit
1 Pied Wagtail
10 Stock Dove
1 Kestrel
70 Carrion Crows, 20 Jackdaws, 20+ Magpies on the top with a few Common and Black-headed Gulls loafing around.

The shrubbery at the bottom of Ringby Lane, opposite the ski-slope is always good for a few finch sp. etc and included - 3 Redwings, 1 Fieldfare, 1 Blackbird, 10+ Chaffinch, 2 Greenfinch, 20+ Goldfinch, 20+ House Sparrow, 2 Wrens, Robin and Dunnock.

Good 'haul' from the shrubbery Dave.
Like the Kes photo.
Taylor Lane bottle ice too...not good with wellies on.
A couple dog walking had crampons(?) On their boots sand no pro walking on ice.

Some good potential areas up there Dave, especially the north end fields.
