Mixenden Reservoir

3 'Commic' Terns there at 09:45 but distant so went home for the scope. They'd gone by the time I got back there around 10:40 with BS soaked to the skin looking for them in the meantime.

A small flock of c30 B H Gulls dropped in while we there and 15+ House Martins and 30+ Swallows were there feeding low over the water.

A good spot on the Terns Dave in the conditions and the distance. Thanks for the call, I dived straight in the car but gone by the time I arrived where I would have expected them to stay in that weather, especially as they were feeding. We looked like a couple of drowned rats stood there by the reservoir . Then you did the same as me and went to Fly Flatts for a second helping. The conditions today were perfect for something maritime.

Conditions perfect, as you say. Nothing there late on other than a solitary B H Gull(can't beat a second helping though) !
That Black Red still foraging in front of the farm was a bit of a surprise in those conditions.
