Edge Lane, Colden 1 April

Not a great deal about in truth.
A pair of goldeneye flew up the valley towards Gorple area.
A couple of red grouse on the moor. A scattering of meadow pipits.
Lots of curlew, fewer lapwing.

One brown hare was running across a field. A less fortunate one was shot dead and tossed in a ditch.

Baffling why anyone would wish to shoot a Brown Hare though I hear they are shooting masses of Mountain Hares in Scotland's grouse moors. !!! Criminal.

I keep them off the blog as well as Roe deer as long dogging is ripe just over the Nab around TMR. They also go lamping on a night, all of which is highly illegal but nobody seems to police it.
