Arctic Skua
Seen today on the path to Whiteholme Reservoir at 17.10 ....Amazing
Yes its had a great run of birds mainly down to Martyn Hayes going every day since early July and lots of muddy shore line ,,, Wood Sand , Curlew Sand , Little Stint , Osprey , Marsh Harrier , Hen Harrier , SEO . Bar wit , Turnstone , Greenshank , Crossbills , Ringed Plover and Arctic Skua...and good vis - mig of Mipits and Pinks.....
Brilliant Andy and what a bonus to get photos. Coincidentally 24th September seems a good date.!! My one and only Gannet, juvenile through Ogden, was the same date in 2010 - that was in a north-easterly gale.
