Copley - Pickwood Scar May 19th.
Dipper on the Calder One each of Whitethroat,Blackcap and Wood Warbler singing Pheasant and Great Spotted Woodpecker calling Bullfinch (pair) and Stock Dove.
I tried for Wood Warbler this morning Charlie - but it was pouring down and I gave it up as a bad job. This is the first we have had this year as far as I know so well done. Seems like a population crash! Wherabouts was it? I have had Wood Warbler at the back of the church in previous years in the beech woodland.
Hi, I must admit it's the first I've heard in N.Dean for a few years. If you take the track to the right of the church, keep going up until you see and old diesel tank in the middle of the track.Behind that is a gap in the chestnut fencing which eventually leads to Norland moor. It was around 2/3 of the way along that path.
