2nd November Red-throated Diver
A winter plumaged Red-throated Diver has been reported to me by a Rochdale birder at Middle Walshaw Reservoir. It was seen at around 1.20PM this afternoon and seemed settled. This could be Calderdales seventh record and the first for 10 years.

So Matt, you've got one now .... I didn't see any today, and no Little Auks either :-( they don't seem to like the bay - tomorrow maybe.
Not me personally! But yes, a bird that is probably an 'every day' one for you has shown up in Calderdale.
