Ryburn Dam
Had another wander along Ryburn this afternoon..
Plenty of BT,GT & CT
Just the 1 Dipper today
2 Wren
1 Cormorant
And was quite surprised to see a pair of Mandarin Duck at the tail end of the North side
I've seen them on the river Ryburn lower down and once a brood of ducklings with a duck was reported by TW on the river. Gorgeous ducks. There was a male recently on the canal at Littleborough, just above the lock above the railway station section.
They will breed in well-hidden nestboxes apparently.
