Goosander
A pair of goosander were on Elphin Brook in Mytholmroyd today - somewhere I've never seen them before. Photo taken on a phone
Two males and a female goosander were on the river from the bridge at Mytholmroyd yesterday (Friday) where Elphin Brook joins the river. One male was trying to shoo away the other one from the female.
Dipper & grey wagtail on other side of bridge here too.

Goosander appear on the brook occasionally Matt. In my experience this is usually when it is pretty cold.
