Snow Buntings
Rolled about on the frosty surface for an hour or so, it had already taken an hour to find them. Fortunately not too much of a thaw, liked this one - loads of insulation.
It's when you get photo's like that, that it makes lying on the cold ground worthwhile, great photo. Nice to see something other than the usual portrait shots the birds usually offer up.
