Northowram /early November
30th Oct- 2 Nov At least 5000 Starlings west 5th Nov 1 Cormorant west 7 Pinkfeet west 7th Nov 104 Pinkfeet west 10th Nov 2 Whooper Swans west Anyone had any large numbers of Woodpigeons yet?
I have a feeling the 2 whoopers may have been Bewick's.2 Bewicks were at leeshaw on the 10th nov.the 2 birds i had were heading low west and with the strong westerly winds /gales.It is not unreasonable to asume they took refuge at leeshaw for the day .i felt sure at the time they were Whoopers with long neck and large size. But YB Swans are notoriosly difficult in flight.?
