Yes, it's so obvious when you say it. It's time for me to pension off my binoculars, (now I'm in my 9th decade).

Your doing a great job up there ,,, we all make mistakes all the time......

You're a local legend Pete, got the Bird Club started all those years ago, Halifax birding and the records it has contributed wouldn't be the same without you. Don't you dare "pension off" your bins!!

Got to agree, they are awesome bins.

You are both very kind, thank you. After such an elementary mistake I've been thinking I'm past it, and your words at least make me think again. Because I never leave the HBC recording area, and because I never visit local prime sites early or late - owing to to age and relying on buses - I don't see many raptors or waders, and am not as sharp with these as I might be. A blessing of digital cameras is that my mistakes do get picked up, and if I do decide to carry on birding PLEASE do not stop pointing them out for fear I'll 'do a runner'. If I do come back, it will be for as long as I'm able.

At £1965.00 they will be of higher quality than my Kite Lynx HD+ 10x30 bins. But . . . nearly 2K!
